Subject: The wallpaper seam as artistic element.
Idea: A raised fold overlaps the running edge of the
next length of wallpaper and stands out from the wall. The resulting
relief made up of vertical strips makes a three-dimensional effect
possible.
Special feature: One design uses the radiance of intensive
shades of color. As a result, the colorful side of the raised fold
lies at a flat angle to the wall so that the view of the entirety
is replaced by a fascinating, indirect imprint of color. Depending
on the incidence of light, the color radiates from the folds with
respective intensity.
Alternative version: Each individual fold is printed
with a consecutive strip of a photograph, graphic, or of lettering.
The fragments form a complete picture when one stands at a sharp
angle to the wall, whereas the picture progressively loses its definition
as the viewer's angle to the wall opens to a frontal position.
Character: Both designs transform into interactive
objects via the movement of the viewer.
